
|UNC Kenan Labs – 4th & 5th Floor Renovations blend Cutting Edge Custom Products with Refurbished. and Recycled Products to spark a new generation of scientific innovations.
The challenges of blending old and new is something we are extremely familiar with - having over 20 years of managing lab renovations. Some of the products we integrated on this project were:
- Island Reagent Frames (floor mounted) with many custom provisions for other trades and custom wood shelving above countertop
 - Custom Overhead Service Carriers with perforated steel panels
 - (12) New Pro Series Fume Hoods with numerous custom features, including; UL Listing for entire hood assembly (including base cabinets below), custom fixture configurations and colors, wiring integrated with base cabinets below, pass throughs, etc.
 - Refurbishment of (12) Hoods and fixed steel casework Donated to UNC and Incorporation into new project design
 - Polypropylene Lined Vented Tall Storage Cabinets with Phenolic Shelves and Pass throughs into fume hoods
 - Fixed Steel Base Cabinets with Wood Fronts
 - All wood components made of European Steamed Beech
 - Custom Wood Components throughout, including full height island end panels with integral marker boards, umbilicals and wall service ledge paneling
 - Durcon “Gray” Epoxy Resin Tops and Undermount Sinks
 - Water Saver Epoxy Coated (White) Fixtures
 - Sigma Carts with suspended components and electrical plug strips
 - Furnish and Deliver (6) Lab Drying Ovens
 - Installation of Owner provided Student Carrels (furniture)
