Simmons University is renovating Lefavour Hall and the West Wing of the Main College Building to “address aging science facilities at a time when Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) education has taken on a regional and national importance”.
Working with Lee Kennedy Co and Elkus Manfredi, New England Lab will be providing laboratory furniture and fume hoods for the campus in Boston.
Teaching labs will be configured with SafeGuard Series fume hoods as well as fixed student workstations equipped with service pedestals and fixed shelving. Cambridge Series tables, as well as overhead wall storage cabinets, are used throughout the A&P laboratories. Pre-plumbed and pre-wired freestanding Altus benches located in the faculty research clusters will complete Lefavour Hall.
The West Wing of the Main College Building will include painted steel casework inside the laboratories and plastic laminate casework in the classrooms.
We’re proud to be supporting the university by supplying new casework for their campus as they modernize and enhance their academic programs.
