New England Lab was recently awarded Suffolk University's STEM Building project. The University's new academic building will be located at 20 Somerset Street, Boston, MA. Eight of the ten stories will hold flexible classrooms, designed to support active learning. For the University's commitment to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, four floors will have science-teaching dedicated classrooms.
The glass-studded building will provide the University campus with an attractive focal point, while also illuminating study areas with natural light.
Due to Suffolk's prized location, students have an ease of access to internships at Boston's centers of government, business and healthcare. Suffolk plans to open the new building in the fall of 2015.
NEL is happy to help Suffolk on their newest endeavor, by providing our wood casework in plain saw red oak, our Observation Series and Pro Series fume hoods, Herman Miller trapezoidal tables, bio safet cabinets and other lab equipment.
