Aiming to have a Top 10 Chemistry and Biochemistry Program, The University of Maryland is building a new 105,000 sq. ft. facility with state-of-the-art research laboratories at their College Park campus.
New England Lab was chosen to collaborate with Ballinger and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company to outfit the building with laboratory furniture and fume hoods.
The materials, synthetic, instrumentation, and measurement spaces will include pre-plumbed and pre-wired freestanding bench systems that can be adapted to meet the requirements for research within molecular sciences. Our newest high-performance research fume hoods with high sight lines and floor-mounted fume hoods are located along the perimeter.
University President Darryll J. Pines describes this research building as a facility that “will accelerate innovation for UMD’s department of Chemistry and Biochemistry” and we are excited to be involved in this endeavor as part of the construction project team.
