UMass Amherst Physical Science Building © Wilson Architects
New England Lab was recently awarded the UMass Amherst Physical Science Building. This 82,500 gsf of new construction, by designer Wilson Architects with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, will house laboratories for the chemistry and physics departments including materials science, condensed matter and nuclear physics, and organic chemistry. The design is focused on flexibility to accommodate the numerous departments and allow for reconfiguration.
New England Lab will be providing custom designer wood overlay casework and Optima 2550 series benches. To realize the architect’s design vision, the fume hoods will be finished with wood panels to complete the lab’s unique and modern look.
