Codiak Biosciences is one of the final biotech companies to take up residency at the Alewife Research Center (The ARC), fully occupying the building at 35 Cambridge Park Drive. Considered as an “area that is emerging as a leading life science cluster in New England” by Brian Fallon, President of the TDC Development Group, Codiak will use the 68,258 sq. ft. of space as their new headquarters as they continue to research and develop exosome therapeutics.
Collaborating with designer SmithGroup and DPR Construction, New England Lab was selected to provide laboratory furniture for the fit-out of their laboratory spaces in the new building.
The main feature of all open lab spaces are the adaptable pre-plumbed and pre-wired Optima Series freestanding bench systems with mobile storage cabinets. Painted steel fixed cabinetry with overlay fronts will be located at perimeter wall locations. Several Pro Series fume hoods will be used as well as a specialty Radioisotope hood.
We are excited for the opportunity to supply casework, benches and fume hoods to Codiak Bio as they continue their mission of “developing therapies that may address a diverse array of diseases that are currently difficult or impossible to treat” (http://www.codiakbio.com/).
