The recently awarded 74 Middlesex Ave spec suites, in a spacious facility developed by Greystar in the city of Somerville, Massachusetts, is set for a state-of-the-art build out. The 4th floor of this expansive 465,000 sq. ft. complex is currently under construction with expected delivery of the purpose-built lab space in September 2024. The objective is to provide an environment that supports a wide community of science and technology professionals. The design approach prioritizes technological advancement, sustainability, and the tenant experience in a transit-oriented location, all aimed at fostering a new era in life sciences. This project, in collaboration with Consigli Construction and Vivo Architecture, has chosen New England Lab as a partner to deliver flexible lab solutions.
The open facility plans for an installation of pre-plumbed and pre-wired Altus Freestanding Benches. These painted steel benches and additional tables are able to adapt to an array of laboratory processes, equipment, and users. This flexibility ensures that the space is well-equipped to cater to the needs of any future tenant.
To further enhance the efficiency and safety of the space, New England Lab will provide the lab with Safeguard Fume Hoods. These high-quality fume hoods prioritize safety, sustainability, and durability, while maintaining a modern and stylish appearance. Additionally, we plan to install scullery sinks for spill containment and easy cleaning, further emphasizing our commitment to safe practices.
New England Lab is honored to have contributed to the enhancement of 74 Middlesex Ave's 4th Floor lab suites. We look forward to supporting future tenants who will utilize this space, continuing our commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and efficient lab furniture solutions.
