Duke French Family Science Center – Third Floor Upfit – demonstrates what a difference effective project management can make. This project, like many, encompassed sevaral unique requirements and a tight timeline. With a contract dated in April 2012 - in less than 4 months from Start to Finish, we are wrapping up the final details as of July 31! Duke's desire to uniquely blend form and function was answered by our team - recommending and delivering a variety of lab furniture systems that included:
- Sigma Flex System (12” core) complimented with Custom Wood Mobile Units below cantilevered countertops
- Safeguard Fume Hoods (one of which is ADA compliant)
- Fixed Wood Base Cabinets & Steel Wall Cabinets at Fume Hood Alcoves
- Custom Maple Wood Base Cabinets and Laminate Tops in Graduate Offices
- Durcon “Graphite” Epoxy Resin Tops and Undermount Sinks (with overflows)
- Water Saver Chrome Finished Fixtures
- Custom Vertical Service Chases (with shallow profile) to house fixtures at Island Cores
- Custom Steel Overhead Service Carrier with adjustable shelving to match core shelving
- Baker SterilGard Biological Safety Cabinet (Class II – Type A2)
- Metro Stainless Wire Shelving Racks
