BioLabs, a provider specializing in supplying flexible Laboratory facilities for emerging companies, has committed to opening a site on Franklin Street in the heart of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The facility, spanning 23,000 square feet, aims to serve as a focal point for facilitating connections between emerging businesses and potential investors, as well as other essential resources. New England Lab, in partnership with Samet Corporation and Perkins Eastman, along with our vendor Mott Manufacturing, have been selected to deliver innovative Laboratory solutions for this initiative.
To enhance the efficiency of the installation process, the area will be furnished with Altus™ Bench systems made of painted steel. These benches will feature two-tier shelving and Pearl Grey Phenolic tops. Moreover, the space will be complemented with Epoxy drop-in sinks, complete with color-matched pegboards and stainless-steel drip trays. To promote adaptability in the Laboratory, Ceiling Service Panels are being installed, utilizing strut-based supports, allowing for an open ceiling-design. These Ceiling Panels with quick connects and electrical connections are specifically designed to feed the benches and their services below.
To ensure safety and optimize productivity, the Laboratory employs Labconco BioSafety Cabinets along with bench and floor mounted Pro Series Fume Hoods. The Pro Series Fume Hoods are equipped with Pearl Epoxy resin dished work surfaces and cupsinks. The Labconco BioSafety Cabinets have a stainless interior and work surface, providing sterile and heat-resistant areas for research. These two products will assist and safely protect users in completing diverse research activities in an environment that is highly resistant to corrosive substances and chemicals
New England Lab is proud to support BioLabs North Carolina in their dedication to attracting the most ambitious startup companies in Life Sciences and accelerating the progress of resident companies. We are excited to be involved in this project and look forward to working with all involved.
