The University of Rhode Island (URI) has developed an Ocean Robotics Laboratory, a 27,000-square-foot facility in Narragansett, Rhode Island. Designed by Ellenzweig and constructed by Agostini Bacon Construction, this space will feature a staging area, a test tank, primary and secondary labs, an incubator suite, offices, and workshops.
New England Lab is proud to contribute to this project by providing laboratory furniture and equipment. This facility includes eight primary and eight secondary lab suites. These spaces were designed for flexibility and reconfiguration, ensuring they can accommodate various users. By collaborating with Mott Manufacturing Limited, we provided tailored laboratory solutions that meet the universities diverse needs.
Key products include Mott’s Sigma Flex Cart, painted steel casework with epoxy resin countertops, and Mott’s Safeguard Fume Hoods—designed for energy efficiency and ergonomics.
We are excited to support Agostini Bacon Construction and Ellenzweig throughout this project and contribute to URI's mission of advancing the development of ocean robotics and equipment.
