05/01/24 - Recently Awarded Project: Tufts University - Bacon Hall Renovation & Addition

Recently Awarded - Tufts Bacon Hall-1

Tufts University, a renowned institution in Medford, MA, is currently planning a major renovation and addition to Bacon Hall, situated on Boston Avenue. The upgraded facility will feature new teaching and research laboratories for both the Earth and Climate Sciences, as well as the Biology Departments. The outfitted labs with state-of-the-art technology are expected to revolutionize learning and research, fostering collaboration in open, flexible spaces. New England Lab, in collaboration with Chapman Construction/Design and CannonDesign, has been selected to provide cutting-edge lab solutions for this project.

To facilitate research and ensure mobility, the university has planned the installation of painted steel Altus Series benches within the space. This feature is especially beneficial for a university lab setting, as it supports the dynamic needs of student-led research and accommodates future growth.

In a commitment to maximizing safety and efficiency, the university will also install Pro Series fume hoods featuring a black epoxy top and an upper furring panel. These will ensure students have access to modern, safety-oriented equipment, enhancing their learning and collaborative experiences.

By providing cutting-edge lab solutions, New England Lab is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Tufts University's mission of establishing an innovative hub that encourages collaborative research and fosters creativity.
