04/08/24 - Recently Awarded Project: NC State University - Integrative Science Building

Recently Awarded NCSU-IntegrativeScienceBuilding

NC State University, a top-tier Research 1 institution located in the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina, is equipped for a major expansion with the upcoming Integrative Sciences Initiative and Building. This state-of-the-art facility, spanning 153,000 square feet, will bring together some of the university's most distinguished STEM scholars to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. By providing cutting-edge laboratories equipped with the latest technology and resources, the initiative will transform teaching, research, and discovery across a range of fields, including chemistry, biochemistry, biology, agriculture, sustainability, and engineering. New England Lab has been selected, in collaboration with Skanska, Moseley Architects, and Research Facilities Design, to provide flexible lab solutions for this project.

To facilitate research and ensure mobility, the university has planned the installation of pre-plumbed and pre-wired painted steel Optima Benches within the space. This feature is particularly beneficial for a university lab setting, as it caters to the dynamic needs of student-led research.

In a commitment to maximizing safety and efficiency, the university has also planned the installation of RFV2 Radioisotope and double-sided Observation fume hoods. These advanced pieces of equipment will ensure that both students and staff have access to state-of-the-art, safety-oriented tools, thereby enhancing the teaching, research, and discovery experience.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to NC State University's mission of creating an innovative hub for student research and collaboration on campus.
